What Happen?

Edmundo Castillo was making strides as the Creative Director for Sergio Rossi so it comes as a shock (to me) with the announcement of FRANCESCO RUSSO has been named as the new creative director of Sergio Rossi.
Replacing Edmundo Castillo (whose last collection for the label was presented during the recent spring/summer 2009 shows), Russo will now be responsible for all womenswear, menswear, bags and accessories collections, with his first being for autumn/winter 2009-10.
"I am honored to be able to put my experience to the benefit of a brand such as Sergio Rossi: an icon of style that is at once historical and strongly contemporary and that stands out for its craftsmanship and quality in the world of Made in Italy luxury products," said Russo who, having trained at the Marangoni Institute in Milan, counts Miu Miu, Costume National and Yves Saint Laurent among the labels he has worked for previously.
