Andalé Fashionistas!

This season, re-visit the quintessential ladylike look inspired by Coco Chanel and Daphne Guinness with shrug and bolero's from Roman Originals. A woman in a shug or a really sharp bolero for evening is one of those timeless, incredibly glamorous, confident looks that when done right is absolutely magic in a room full of skirts. One should attempt this look at least once in her lifetime. Why, you ask? Well, to paraphrase Jean Paul Gaultier, who revived the bolero look in countless collections way back when (remember that fabulous denim bolero?), it’s something about the marriage of the hard, clean lines of a bolero fused with the soft, feminine curves of a women. It’s a stark, sexy contrast that brings out the best of both—the cool chic of the suit and the sexiness of the woman in it. The look blasted back into the forefront of fashion with the help of Roman Originals' uber fab collection of shrugs and boleros! With Roman Original's pieces one can stick with the classics…it’s the chicest and by far the most flattering way to go. The shrugs and bolero's offered are a classic for a reason. You want one that’s simple and true to its structural conception but masterfully feminized to be not quite masculine, not quite feminine, just beautifully sylphlike - essentially something that Coco would approve of! Our current Roman Originals' is the Mink Bolero (shown left) - we would totally pair it with a very bare shirt underneath—a silky camisole or a little low-cut chiffon blouse. You just want to show that sexy swath of bare flesh right where it counts. Keep jewelry to a minimum—diamond studs and a pretty glittery bracelet are just enough. The most important accessory always, though: high heels. The higher the better. With it's wallet friendly price we won't break the bank while looking like a million bucks!
